Prospects are the potential customers or the people who are likely to buy products or acquire services.
Tip:
Instead of setting up each lead using the New Prospect Wizard, you
can also use the Import Wizard to import your existing prospect
file (in excel format) into Interprise Suite. See Also: Working
with System Manage Module > Importing
Records
You can also convert existing leads into prospects by using the Convert Lead option in the Lead detail form. See Also: Working with CRM module > Manage Leads
Steps:
Create New Prospect
- Go to the CRM module.
- Select Prospect under the New menu or the Prospect icon in the CRM Workflow dashboard. You can also use the assigned num key for this task. The New Prospect Wizard will display.
- Here are the steps to follow in the New Prospect Wizard.
Step 1 - enter primary information
Provide the primary information in the first screen of the New Prospect Wizard. The details that needs to be provided for the primary information are as follows:
- Country: Select the prospect country. This will determine the class template to use.
- Customer Name: Enter the prospect customer name, either a person or a business.
- Contact Full Name: by default, the customer name you provided appears in this field. Enter the name of the primary contact. You can add contact details in the Default Contact tab.
- Postal Code: Select or enter the prospect customer’s postal code.
- Business Type: Select if Retail or Wholesale to determine the pricing to use
- Class Description: Use the default or assign another class template to use.
Step 2 - enter billing information
In the Setup tab, you will notice that there are default values in most of the fields. These fields were filled in by the selected customer class template. See Also: Customer Setup > Customers > Customer Class Templates. You may change the default values as needed. You may enter Address, Phone or Fax number, Email or Web Address if available. Click Next button to continue.
Step 3 – enter default contact information
In the Default Contact tab, you will notice that there are default details (the same as the one you provided in the Setup tab). You may change the default information as needed. See Also: CRM Setup > Contacts
Step 4 - Finish or add new
In the last step of the wizard, click on the Finish button or Add New to create another.

- Select Prospect under the Find menu of the CRM module. A list of active, inactive and converted prospects will display.
- Select the prospect record to display the Prospect detail form.
- Uncheck the Active checkbox to set the prospect status to inactive.
Note that prospects that had been part of other records such as activities or waves or sales quote records linked to them cannot be deleted.
- Select Prospect under the Find menu of the CRM module. A list of active, inactive and converted prospects will display.
- Select the prospect record from the list to display the Prospect detail form.
- Click Delete button from the toolbar menu.
- Choose Yes in the prompt to delete.
