Customer GL Class Templates

Introduction About:

General Ledger Class Templates are grouped default posting accounts used when setting up entities like customer, supplier and inventory items. Interprise Suite includes a default GL class templates assigned with the appropriate posting accounts. 

Note:
Customer GL Class templates is where posting accounts for the customer transactions are taken. If you chose to base your account analysis by customer, the accounts to use for the customer transactions will be based from the Customer GL Class Template. Interprise Suite automatically assigns the appropriate posting accounts to the default customer GL Class Template if you chose to set up your chart of accounts by copying from an account template. If you chose to set up your chart of accounts by defining each account, you will then have to manually assign the posting accounts in the GL Class Templates. Also, the Customer GL Class template copies the account codes from the Default Accounts. See Also: Accounting Setup > Assign Default Accounts

 

Terminology Steps:

Group Default Posting Accounts

  1. Go to the Customer module.
  2. Select the GL Class Template menu item from the Setup menu. The GL Class Template setup form will display.
  3. Enter the Class Template Code and Description.
  4. Select the appropriate Account Code for each line.
  5. Save the details before closing the Customer GL Class Template form

ShowInactivate GL Class Templates

  1. Select GL Class Templates under the Setup menu of the Customer Module. The GL Class Template setup form will display.
  2. Select the GL class template in the list to go to the Detail tab.
  3. Uncheck the Active checkbox to set the GL class template status to inactive.
  4. Save the details before closing the form.

 

ShowDelete GL Class Templates

  1. Select GL Class Template under the Setup menu of the Customer Module. The GL Class Template setup form will display.
  2. Select the GL class template in the list to go to the Detail tab.
  3. Click on the Delete option from the toolbar menu.
  4. Choose Yes in the prompt to delete.
