Introduction About:

Item GL Class templates are grouped posting accounts for a specific item. If your account analysis is based on Stock Item, you will need to set up the item GL Class Template properly from the Item Class Template form.

 

Terminology Steps:

Group default posting accounts

 

  1. Go to the Inventory module.
  2. Select GL Class Template under the Setup menu. The GL Class Template form will display. Interprise Suite includes default class templates for each type and a default category GL class template.
  3. Click New button to switch to the Detail tab.
  4. Enter the GL Class Code and Description.
  5. Select the default posting accounts for each line.
  6. Save the details before closing the GL Class Template form.

ShowCreate a category GL class template

The sales analysis too, can be used as a basis for the sales analysis. To create a category GL class template,

  1. Create a GL class template as you would an inventory class template. See Also: Group default posting accounts
  2. Assign the GL class template to an inventory category. See Also: Inventory Setup > Categories

 

ShowConfigure Interprise Suite to get the sales analysis from the inventory items

ShowInactivate an item GL class template

  1. Select GL Class Template under the Setup menu of the Inventory Module. The GL Class Template form will display.
  2. Select the GL class template in the list to go to the Details tab.
  3. Uncheck the Active checkbox to set the GL class template status to inactive.
  4. Save the details before closing the form.

 

ShowDelete GL class templates

Note that GL class templates that were assigned as default in class templates or used in any transaction may not be deleted.

  1. Select GL Class Template under the Setup menu of the Inventory Module. The GL Class Template form will display.
  2. Select GL class template in the list to go to the Details tab.
  3. Click on the Delete option in the toolbar menu.
  4. Choose Yes in the prompt to delete.
