Introduction About: 

Account Sub Groups allow you to group account types that go together.

 

Terminology Steps:

Create New Account Sub Groups

  1. Go to the Accounting module.
  2. Select Account Sub Group under the Setup menu. The Account Sub Group setup form will display.
  3. Click on the New button from the toolbar.
  4. Enter a Sub Group Code.
  5. Type in the Account Types included in the account sub group. Use the Down arrow key to add a new line.
  6. Check the Active checkbox to include the account sub group in the pulldown lists.
  7. Save the details before closing the Account Sub Group form.

 

How To How To:

ShowMaintain Account Sub Groups

  1. Go to the Accounting module.
  2. Select Account Sub Groups under the Setup menu. The Account Sub Group setup form will display.
  3. Edit the account sub group as necessary before closing the form.

 

ShowDelete Account Sub Groups

Note that only account sub groups that has not been assigned to any account code can be deleted.

  1. In the Account Sub Group setup form, select the Account Sub Group to delete.
  2. Click on the Delete option in the toolbar menu.
  3. Choose Yes in the prompt to delete.
