Postal Codes in Interprise Suite determine the City, State and County for the address when selected.

Steps:
To create new postal codes,
- Go to the System Manager module.
- Select Postal Code under the Maintain menu. The Postal Code setup form will display.
- The following are the two examples of new postal codes for the UK and Canada.
Example 1: UK Postal Code
- Click New button from the toolbar to start. You will be brought to the Detail tab.
- Enter the Postal Code e. g, AB23 8JW
- Enter the City e.g. Aberdeenshire
- Enter the County e.g. Aberdeen
- In the Country Code field, select United Kingdom.
Note:
For UK and other EU country postal codes, you need not put in a state or state code value because these fields would not appear when these countries are selected.- Select the appropriate Time Zone. This will provide the default time zones for contacts.
- You may add in Longitude and Latitude information if needed.
- Enter the three digit Area Code assigned to the postal code e.g. 028
- Since all business and residences in the UK are given a Postal Address, you can optionally add in this detail in the Address field e.g. Denmore Industrial Estates.
- Assign default class templates:
- Default Retail/Consumer Class Templates
- Customer: Select the default retail customer class template to use in customer billing e.g. Default Consumer Customer Class Template.

You may update the customer class template by double clicking on the class template to display the Customer Class Template setup form. There is an option that allows you to copy the class template of the postal code to other postal codes within the same state or country. See Also: Copy class template to all postal codes within the same county or state
Example 2: Canadian Postal Code
- Enter the Postal Code e.g. R1N 0A9
- Enter the City e.g. Portage La Prairie
- Enter the State e.g. Melbourne and State Code, MB
- In the Country Code field, select Canada.
- Select the appropriate Time Zone. This will provide the default time zones for contacts.
- You may add in Longitude and Latitude information if needed.
- Enter the three-digit Area Code assigned to the postal code.

- Copy class template to state or county
There is an option that allows you to copy the class template of the postal code to other postal codes within the same state or country. See Also: Copy class template to all postal codes within the same county or state
Select from a
list of postal codes or manually type in every time
- Go to the System Manager Module.
- Select Country under the Maintain menu. The Country setup form will display.
- Select the country in the list and drill down to go to the Detail tab.
- Enable the Searchable Postal Code option to enable the pulldown list in the Postal Code field.
- Save before closing the Postal Code setup form.
Automatically
add postal codes
- Go to the System Manager Module.
- Select Country under the Maintain menu. The Country setup form will display.
- Select the country in the list and drill down to go to the Detail tab.
- Enable the Automatically Add Postal Code option to save the postal code whenever you type in a new postal code in the Postal Code field. Note: The Searchable Postal Code option must be enabled to enable this option.
Copy class
templates to all postal codes within the same county or state
Instead of assigning the class templates one by one to each postal code, you can copy from a postal code and copy to all postal codes within the same county or state.
- In the Postal Code setup form, select the postal code to copy the class templates from.
- From the toolbar menu, click on the Copy Class option and choose to copy to State or County. Note that this will override the assigned class templates if any.
- Save the details before closing the Postal Code setup form.
- Click on the Tax tab and enter the the rate for each applicable tax type. See Also: Tax Components and Tax Schemes.
View the postal
code location from an online map
- In the Postal Code setup form, select the postal code to view from an online map.
- Click on the View Postal Code option in the upper right of the Detail tab. This will bring up your default internet browser and try to connect to Yahoo! maps. Note that you should be online to the internet.
- In the Postal Code setup form, select the postal code.
- In the Details tab, uncheck the Active checkbox.
- Save the details before closing the Postal Code setup form.
Note that postal codes that are assigned to entities or used in other setup cannot be deleted.
- In the Postal Code setup form, select the postal code to delete.
- In the Details tab, click on the Delete option.
- Choose Yes in the prompt to delete.
