About:
User Role determines the permissions and restrictions of each user of Interprise Suite. The user roles are to be set in level order based on the function and privileges of the user. Role-based security is being implemented using these settings for each individual user account that connects to your business.
Steps:
Create User Role
-
Go to the System Manager module.
- Select User Role under the System User menu. The User Role search screen will display.
- Click on the New User Role button from the search screen toolbar. The User Role form will display.
- Enter the Role Code and Description e.g. RCS - Retail Sales Clerk
- Assign the Access Level for the role – 99 being the administrator level or has access to all the areas of Interprise Suite.
- To select modules for the user role, select the modules form the Existing Modules list and click on the > button to move it to the Selected Modules list. Click on >> button to move all modules to the Selected Modules list.
- You will notice that the modules appear as a link. You may drill down to this link to display the module in “layout mode”. Or, you can use the right click menu and select "Edit Module". The User Role maintenance form will display.
- As an administrator, one can make role-based customizations for
the Interprise Suite modules when in the layout mode. The
administrator would be able to refine the role by enabling only
menus, forms, form sections, grid sections, columns and even fields
that the user is allowed to access. See Also:
